Comments: [...] Pulling it out of the package, and putting it on, everything looks great (and spelled correctly; NFL.com sent me "SHULTZ" once.. OUCH!!).I would just like to point out that the eagle designs on the sleeves are not what I expected. In the pictures they look to be sort of an offwhite, or a different material/pattern than the main part of the jersey (kind of like your front yard looks after you've trampled a patch down, or the way velvet looks after you run your finger over it?), but it isn't that at all..Its rather just a light brown / tan colored design built right in. The picture doesn't do a good job at that so I thought I'd point that out.If you're going to get it customized (as I did, of course!), you get white numbers on the sleeves in the little black area, and everything else on your back (name/numbers) are black.This jersey feels a lot more like a shirt than the 2006 version. That one was pretty stiff where this one is more "flowy," if that makes any sense at all. Feels a little thicker/heavier, too. I got a Large both times, and they fit almost the same. The neck is a little more snug on this one, and the sleeves are a poke longer.Overall though, awesome.I rated this a 4/5 only because I like my Black one better. Maybe I just like dark jerseys more?, I don't know. Getting the first available white German jersey that I've seen offered is a no brainer, and will perfectly compliment my 2006 Olympic version Black one. If you're a first time buyer in the market for a German hockey jersey, I'd probably suggest the black one (not having owned the 2010 version). And converse to America/Canada, I do believe that Black is their home sweater.I trust I won't be the only one watching the Olympics this year, haha.. --May Deutschland play hard, stay safe, and raise Marco Sturm to superhero status! |
